Executive Committee Information
Its all change for our Executive committee , welcome to:
- Matt- Chairman
- Nicky – Secretary
- Kevin – Treasurer
The Group Executive Committee supports the Group Scout Leader and ensures the effective administration of the Scout Group. The Group Executive Committee is responsible for the management of the Scout Group. It is accountable to the Group Scout Council, which is made-up of all the people involved in Scouting in the Group: leaders, helpers, parents, administrators, Patrol Leaders, and a few others. View our AGM below.
We also have a small but very efficient fund raising team led by one of our parents: Ele. who kindly apply for funds so we can ensure the children can camp, explore and have fun.

Group Uniform
Wearing a uniform is comfy and practical. It means no one feels uncomfortable or left out and helps everyone feel part of the group. Our uniform consists of a sweatshirt for cubs and a shirt for Scouts that you can sew badges on and a coloured scarf or ‘necker’ to represent our Group. Full uniform also includes school trousers and school shoes but we allow children to wear old plan trousers and suitable footwear for our weekly meetings due to the outdoor environment
A uniform can either be bought from the online shop – Scout Store – or from the local school uniform shop. If you’re not sure where to start, leaders can give you more information about what to buy and where to buy it. They may even know if someone is selling a uniform second hand.
Group Safety Policy
As Scouts, we have a clear code of behaviour we expect everyone to abide by, known as the ‘Yellow Card’. This code is shared with all adults who interact with young people – regardless of their role – and is included in the training leaders receive.
All our volunteers give their time freely to help young people thrive. Some volunteers lead their group week in and week out. Others call in occasionally to share a specific skill, or provide an extra pair of hands – whether they’re abseiling down mountains, or helping a group of eight year olds build a robot, or expertly remembering how everyone takes their tea.
Everyone who works with young people also has to undertake a disclosure check (also known as a ‘police check’). If you’reunhappy with anything relating to your child’s time in The Scouts, you should raise it immediately with your local leaders, no matter how trivial it may seem.
